Welcome to SJHS 2024 Golf!
Preparing Springboro Junior High boys and girls for high school golf.
The club welcomes (2024-2025 school year) 6th – 8th graders and is open to golfers from both the Springboro Junior High & Springboro Intermediate Schools. Opportunities will exist for both boys and girls. Based on the number of participants, we will have two or more competition teams.
Practice and Parents Meeting
July 14, 2024 – 7:00 pm
Heatherwoode Golf Course
Meet at the putting green on the right side of the range.
Tryout 1
July 19th, 2024 – 4:00 pm
Mound Golf course
$7.00 or $5.00 walking fee (if part of Youth on course)
Tryout 2
July 21, 2024 – 3:00 pm
Mound Golf course
$7.00 or $5.00 walking fee (if part of Youth on course)

Timeline
Team Tryouts are expected to be held in late July. See above for times and locations. The season typically begins around the same time as the school year, with most competition wrapping up by early October. Matches and practices are held on weekdays, with the exception of two tournaments.
Fees
Fees are yet to be finalized, based on number of players and matches. It is expected that they will be in the neighborhood of $350 per player, and will include Shirt, Hat, Practice, Match, and Tournament costs.

What should my player do next?
We have several great months of golf before tryouts! Practice!! There are many Junior Programs in the area — like the “PGA Junior League” at Shaker Run and Junior Practice and Golf Memberships at Heatherwoode. “Youth On Course” memberships are also available, which provide $5 green fees for players at multiple local courses.
League
The SJHS Golf Teams will play in the South Dayton Golf Jr High Golf League, against schools like Vandalia, St. Christopher, Incarnation, Centerville, and Bellbrook. There will be a season-ending tournament, and one other tournament along the way.
